Hello from the land of warm days and crisp nights, yes Autumn is definitely starting to set in and I actually had to use the heater this morning and my ever so classy ugg boots... who cares I was in side.
Today was a day off for me so I took myself shopping, actually I had to take my boys shoe shopping and it's school holidays so everyone else had the same idea and went to the mall. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, especially with nearly every store I went into had a mammoth sale going on or gift time in the department stores.
Besides getting the boys shoes I wanted to check out a makeup and cosmetics brand NATIO. Not entirely sure if its Australian or that we just have a website for the brand here. Either way I was determined to check them out in more detail.
I cottoned on to the name when we went away at Christmas time and had to buy a sunscreen, beautiful texture and ever so moisturising. Their website (click here) does have an online store but I don't like buying new makeup or cosmetics brands without testing them first.
After two drugstores later I found myself at David Jones (think Harrods or Sears) and their range was amazing. Sensitive to anti-aging, tanning products to nail polishes not to mention the makeup selection. Even though a lot of it was extremely tempting I limited myself to 2 products the hand cream (not pictured) and facial cleanser. But to my amazement they had either 50% off the 2nd item or spend $35 and receive a gift box. Naturally I went for the gift box which had the shower gel, highlighter and bronzer in one, lip gloss and SPF15+ moisturiser all contained in a cute-as-a-button storage box. I also got a new lippy (like I need another one!) in vintage rose, absolutely gorgeous, a little sheer but that's what I like and it's very close to my natural lip colour. Don't worry I'll be doing a review of this haul soon.
I also ventured into my new found love Katies. They had 50% off already marked down sale items and 30% off for members, so I just had to get my hands on their summer platform wedges which were only 10 bucks couldn't believe it, that's after both discounts (win!) however I'm very reluctant to purchase any shoes that don't bend as I've been stung in the past, thinking that a couple of strides around a clothes rack will be sufficient to come to the conclusion that they will be comfy. But in this instants they were.
When I went to pay for them the attendant told me that I could get 30% off anything in-store as I was a member, soooo I bought an amazing current season cold shoulder top that feels incredibly soft. Unfortunately they hadn't unpacked there latest shipment of new stock, I could see it there, I just wanted to rip it open and get what I wanted and go :-(
After 2.5 hours later I was finished both shopping and energy. Now my youngest is sleeping and my eldest is playing the Wii, I think I might have some down time too.
Happy belated Easter everyone!
